      Rather than just mapping an archetype path to an external term, as is currently
      the case, enhanced paths which include criterion ranges or values in the form
      of Xpath expressions should be allowed. This will mean that the syntactic form
      of the criteria is in the form of additions to the existing path syntax rather
      than something new; it also means that those paths can be used to interrogate
      data.

      It is often the case that archetype terms only sensibly bind to
      external terms such as LOINC terms when certain criteria are
