The focus here is different: providing an interoperable engineering framework for building systems, integrating systems, making them share information, and computing with the information. Interoperability of all kinds, not just between systems, comes as part of the package.

Can the various standards can't be made to work together? There are certainly possibilities (some are easy - e.g. openEHR / 13606). The above typology helps show how they could be integrate integrated and what the costs are likely to be (and therefore what integrations make sense). However, it also shows which standards are not designed within a framework and are unlikely to support holistic rather than piecemeal , sustainable solutions.
