Time (CEST) | Presentation | Presenter |
---|---|---|
10:00 - 10:10 | Welcome Welcome and introduction to the sessions | @Mikael Nyström |
10:10 - 10:20 | Why The general introduction starts with the semantic interoperability issues openEHR tries to solve and why openEHR puts so much effort into standardising the capture and storage of the healthcare and welfare information to achieve its goals. An important part of this is the conversion problems that might occur in information exchange and information use. Some of these conversion problems are possible to solve automatically with an algorithm, some others are possible with a human in the loop and yet some other conversions are even theoretically impossible to solve. | @Erik Sundvall |
10:20 - (@Erik Sundvall & @Silje Ljosland Bakke agree the time plan from 10:20 to 11:25.)
| How - overview+RM The general introduction continues with how openEHR address these fundamental problems by using a reference model and archetypes, templates, and forms on top of the reference model. During this part of the introduction, the reference model and its parts will be described. Lastly, it will be explained why the reference model is aimed to be implemented in software and the archetypes, templates and forms are aimed to be implemented as configuration of systems and how the reference model, archetypes, templates, and forms fit together. | @Silje Ljosland Bakke & @Erik Sundvall |
? (@Erik Sundvall & @Silje Ljosland Bakke agree the time plan from 10:20 to 11:25.) | How - Clinical modeling Furthermore, it will be presented why the archetypes model clinical phenomena using maximal datasets and how this is adapted to specific clinical situations using templates. In addition, it will be illustrated how the templates focus on the information while the forms focus on the presentation. | @Silje Ljosland Bakke |
5 -10 min? (@Erik Sundvall & @Silje Ljosland Bakke agree the time plan from 10:20 to 11:25.) | Shared development and tools The presentation continues with a description of how the different parts of openEHR are designed and developed and how the international sharing of workload in the design and development is done. Finally, examples of different tools for using openEHR, and what they do, are presented. | @Erik Sundvall &@Silje Ljosland Bakke |
11:25 - 11:40 | SNOMED CT and openEHR The session continues with a comparison between openEHR and SNOMED CT. Firstly, the general purposes and use cases for openEHR and SNOMED CT are described. Secondly, it will be explained how the purposes complement and sometimes overlap and how the overlap can be handled. Thirdly, it will be illustrated how openEHR archetypes and templates can be bound to SNOMED CT concepts. | @Mikael Nyström |
11:40 - 12:00 | Localisation and translation OpenEHR is developed as an international standard and there are needs to localise the archetypes, templates and forms when implementing them in a specific country. This session of the Master Class focuses on what kind of localisation that is beneficial to make the standard fit the target country, and highlights pros and cons of investing time in localisation work. Examples from the localisation work within the Swedish openEHR community show how localisation of archetypes can be done and how different parts of openEHR can be used to handle shared national needs, like laws, regulations and medical alert information. | @Åsa Skagerhult |
12:00 - 13:00 | Lunch |
|
13:00 - 13:15 | openEHR International openEHR International is the organisation behind openEHR. In this session of the Master Class, it is described how the openEHR standard was started and the history behind openEHR International. Another part that is explained is how openEHR International works today and how it takes care of the openEHR specifications, clinical models, and other relevant artefacts. Different ways of how to get involved in openEHR are also described. | @Mikael Nyström |
13:15 - 13:25
| Combining openEHR and FHIR This session of the Master Class will start by presenting a comparison of the different purposes and use cases that openEHR and HL7 FHIR try to solve and how the associated use cases influence their designs. Subsequently, it will be described how openEHR and HL7 FHIR can be used together to solve use cases. | @Erik Sundvall |
13:25 - 13:50 | Questions | @Erik Sundvall @Silje Ljosland Bakke @Åsa Skagerhult @Mikael Nyström |
13:50 - 14:00 | Closing remarks
