State information is only found in the OBSERVATION class. It is information that is recorded about the patient that is pertinent to the interpretation of the main data. Examples of information of this type are:

  • Blood pressure: the position of the patient at the time of the observation

  • Weight: the amount of clothing on the person at the time

  • Blood glucose: whether the patient was fasting or the time from a glucose load
