  • Initiation of CPB Working Groups

    About

This page describes the outline structures and processes for CPB Working Groups. Working Groups are described in the CPB Terms of Reference.

    Creation

CPB Working Groups (WG) are formed with the agreement of the CPB. Proposals for WGs can be made by any CPB or Expert Panel Member.

    Documentation

All WGS should have a header page and any associated content as a child of the CPB Working Group parent page.

    Name

The WG should have a concise name.

    Scope

The scope should be described. This should include the purposes and the intended objectives of the group.

    WG Lead

The lead or leads for the WG should be supplied along with their preferred contact details.

    WG Members

Ideally a list of WG members should be maintained by the WG Leads and published to Confluence.

    Meetings and documentation

The meeting frequency or meeting schedule should be outlined. Documentation pertaining to meetings should be published under the WG header page in Confluence.

    Reporting

WGs will normally report to the CPB meetings either verbally or in writing, and at a schedule agreed with the CPB.

    WG governance

Each WG can decide its own internal governance approach, e.g. to decision making and operating practices. Disputes should be escalated to the CPB via the CPB Chairs in the first instance.

    WG Associated documents and files

WGs should agree where to keep relevant documentation and other files associated with the WG, if not on Confluence and published here. Unless there are good reasons not to, any relevant material should be indicated on the WG pages in Confluence including information on how to access it.
