Overview for REST API work to be done - for Release 1.1.0 or 2.0.0

Progress:

  • has a full conversion (4 HTML files) of APIB to OpenAPI; still xrefs to be done - manual.

  • TODO: Models / schema;

  • can we use OpenAPI as a full spec, somewhat like XSD? i.e. including JSON payload as JSON schema

  • Q on inheritance - various representations - OpenAPI tool maturity is an issue

  • Goal - make OpenAPI the gold std at API level of openEHR?

  • still investigating code generators at Nedap

• Java not necessarily the main target - especially for client side apps

• @Erik Sundvall for code generation, use BMM as source - can put more meta-info to help code generation

• Often the need for a particular system is just a few specific content items, using template based naming

Formalising links in archetypes

Initial thinking on changes to AOM. Two options:

• high-level C_REF that can constrain any kind of link class e.g. LINK, DV_URI, FHIR Reference(x) etc

• primitive level sibling of C_STRING etc, that handles String fields containing references

Needs to be able to indicate an ARCHETYPE_HRID ‘template’, e.g. just RM type, RM type + concept, RM type + concept + version
